Lela Lee created the “angry little asian girl, the first day of school” her sophomore year (1994) while studying rhetoric at UC Berkeley. When told there was no "market for Asians" her alter ego, Lee got angry and created more characters. Each character brings a different point of view and reaction to anger--just like people would in real life.
