This past weekend, www.viktorviktoriashop.com received a ton of orders for Tulle Coats. Tulle Coats are always big sellers for us, but we couldn’t understand why there was such a huge increase in our Tulle Coat online sales on a Saturday. As we all know, most people shop online during the week, while at work, not on the weekend. Well, we finally called one of our new customers to confirm an address and asked her how she found www.viktorviktoriashop.com. Her response was “the Dec. 21 issue of People Magazine.”

We had no idea People was going to do this. Usually, they simply credit the Company rather than a boutique. We have been carrying Tulle Coats for over ten years. Tulle began with this classic Tulle Vintage Coat. Every year the coat gets better and better. The fit has been much improved. No longer do you have to order an XL if you wear a size 8! Yes Tulle Coats now will fit a size 10 – 12 woman. True, you will have to order an XL which is off by Midwest standards where a size 10 – 12 woman is considered a Medium but given the coats are designed in LA where a size 8 is considered fat, I guess we should be happy!

We have always love the style and beautiful colors of our Tulle Coats and this year we love them even more. Why, because they actually fit a bit larger than in the past. Up until this year, Tulle coats have always run super small in the arms and across the back. This meant that if you had a chest, you would have to go up 1 or 2 sizes if you wanted to button your coat, especially the Tulle vintage coat. Well, Tulle must have received enough feedback from their vendors as to the small fit that they finally decided to cut these coats slightly larger. At last, if you wear a size 11 you can actully fit into an XL! Now, before you complain to me that a size 11 is not an XL, I know it, but remember these coats are designed in LA, the land of the size 4 means it is diet time!!

Vegas Here We Come!

Leaving today for Las Vegas to attend MAGIC, POOL, and PROJECT.

Ann, Char and I are leaving at 2pm, ready to hit the strip and work too. We will be attending MAGIC, POOL and PROJECT. We hope to find some great new lines for Viktor Viktoria and www.viktorviktoriashop.com and win a couple of million – of course if we do that , it will be goodbye Viktor Viktoria, hello Bali!

For those of you not familiar with MAGIC, it is a huge trade show in Vegas. Vendors come from all over the world as do buyers. New lines are introduced at MAGIC and we at Viktor Viktoria are always on the lookout for these new lines. We will also be checking out the products from many of our favorite vendors including: Ames Bros, Crystal Rock, Dirtee Hollywood, House of Mental, Chaser LA, BB Dakota, Remetee …….

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Wow, it is freezing here in Viktor Viktoria Land! The weather is below zero and promises to get worse for the next few days. Is this cold weather stopping Viktor Viktoria shoppers? Somewhat but our Tulle Coats and BB Dakota Coats are still selling well. People are buying up the Tulle Coats now that they are on sale both at Viktor Viktoria at Mayfair mall and at www.viktorviktoriashop.com . Our Tulle Coat Collection includes: Tulle Wool Coats Tulle Vintage Coats, Tulle Double Breasted Coats, Tulle Peacoats and Tulle Trench Coats.

By the way, This past Sunday, we went to the Deerfield Show and previewed all the super cute Spring and Summer dresses and clothing from BB Dakota. We love the BB Dakota maxi dresses and the BB Dakota flowered skirts and can’t wait for our Spring BB Dakota Fashions to arrive. Even in this subzero weather, Spring clothes give us hope!

So if you are in the midwest, stay out of the cold as best you can, and if you have to go outside, be sure to dress warm and wear your Tulle Coat!
